Job Overview

Working closely in an academic environment this professional staff member will build, deploy, and maintain business critical, single and multi-user FileMaker solutions under the supervision of the Director of Operations & Logistics. The solutions currently in place include student interaction tracking, classroom and event attendance, student quality and persistence monitoring, document collection and correlation, and inventory tracking and new solutions are always being developed. Must work well with others and be quick to resolve issues as they arise. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and deploying FileMaker database solutions using a recent version of FileMaker Pro
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and break them down into parts

 

Bonus Qualifications

  • FileMaker Certified Developer
  • Knowledge of ODBC access
  • Experience with PHP or SQL
  • Knowledge of Mac OS Server and Windows Server operating systems
  • Creative or design oriented background/hobbies

Essential Functions

  • Answering help desk emails related to the FileMaker solutions and investigate potential issues
  • Document and categorize bug report and feature requests
  • Working with the development team and others to implement fixes and changes to existing systems
  • Meeting with users to design FileMaker solutions from scratch
  • Maintain and update user accounts using LDAP and Active Directory
  • Provide demonstrations of existing solutions to potential users
